Terms and Conditions
The Romanian Student Society of Surgery is the organiser of IASSS Symposium 2017.
The official website is symposium2017.iasss.org. The owner of the official website is RSSS (the Romanian Student Society of Surgery).
1. The Symposium Organiser
Asociatia Societatea Studenteasca de Chirurgie din Romania (The Romanian Student Society of Surgery – RSSS) is a Romanian-based and registered non-governmental organisation established in 2004 with the purpose of developing practical training methods for medical students.
2. Consenting to the Terms & Conditions
This agreement is made in and shall be governed and construed by Romanian laws.
3. General conditions
Any Symposium ticket purchased is nominal and non-transferrable, offering the right for one individual, unless otherwise stated, to take part at the entire or parts of the Symposium.
As an exception, RSSS as organisers may allow a ticket purchaser to transfer the ticket to another individual, if the initial purchaser notifies with at least 7 days before the Symposium of the desired transfer.
4. Tickets purchasing
In order to purchase a ticket you have to follow 4 easy steps:

- Verify your email and validate your new created account
- Login here
- Select the desired Pass (Ticket) from your dashboard and pay with by credit card (online) or by bank transfer (offline)
If you purchase your Pass by credit card, your Pass will be validated in 2 or 3 days and you will see it your account page on green color. Your Pass will be shown in red color, until the payment processing is done. If your Pass is still red after 3 days since the payment, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via live chat.
If you purchase the ticket by bank transfer, after the payment, please upload here the payment proof (e.g.: transfer statement/”chitanta”, in Romanian). After we check the validity of the transfer, your Pass will be validated and you will see it on green color in your account page.
You will be notified via email regarding any update on your Pass.
Credit/Debit card issuing bank may charge you an international transaction fee, depending on the currency of the card. Please check with your card issuing bank for details of charges.
5. Event cancellation and Force Majeure
RSSS as organiser is not responsible for the cancellation or change of a scientific and/or social event in the event of an accident, an act caused by a third party (e.g. interdictions by authorities, venue closing), credible threats of natural disaster in the geographic vicinity, war, curtailment or interruption of transportation facilities, threats or acts of terrorism or similar acts, governmental travel advisory, a governmental elevation of the terrorism alert level, civil disturbance or any other cause comparable events or disaster beyond the parties’ control (see also Cancellations & Refunds).
RSSS does not take any responsibility for the cancellation or change of scientific events due to speakers’ or partner institutions’ faults and no fees or other penalties can be claimed.
RSSS reserves the right to cancel at short notice any scientific event if any reasons which are outside of the sphere of responsibility of RSSS (e.g. Force majeure, venue closing, interdictions by authorities, etc.) occur. No fees or other penalties can be claimed in this situation.
RSSS reserves the right to cancel or modify at short notice any social event if a certain minimum number of participants is not attained or for any reasons which are outside of the sphere of responsibility of RSSS (e.g. Force majeure, venue closing, interdictions by authorities, etc.) occur. In the event of such cancellations, no claim for refund of the (proportionate) registration fees or for compensation of any (material) losses can be made.
Any change or cancellation of any of the conference’s events will be announced on the IASSS Symposium 2017 official social media pages and through the email addresses provided at registration.
6. Insurance and liability
It is recommended that participants obtain adequate cover for travel, health and accident insurance before they depart from their countries. RSSS as organisers cannot accept responsibility for personal injuries, or loss of, or damage to, private property belonging to the congress participants and accompanying persons.
